Rock O Lanterns

We sit atop a hill which is a drag to walk up but when the rains come we are happy to be "High & Dry". We were very fortunate that the only effect Hurricane Sandy had on us is we were without power for several days, not a week or 2 like a lot of people, or much worse like far too many people. Halloween was kind of a wash this year because of the storm so we didn't get to paint our "Rock O Lanterns" until Thanksgiving. As always lots to be thankful for.

Fall...Really what's the appeal?

I appreciate color probably more than the average person but having to wear extra layers because of the damp chill in the air to go out & see said color not to mention the fading daylight...Really what's the appeal? 170 day's until Spring

Yarn Bombing in Frenchtown NJ

Today I discovered "Yarn Bombing" in Frenchtown New Jersey. Wikipedia - Yarn bombing, yarnbombing, yarnstorming, guerrilla knitting, urban knitting or graffiti knitting is a type of graffiti or street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fibre rather than paint or chalk. How have I never heard of this before? Now I want to knit a little wrap for the tree in front of my house!
